Cant ignore California Vaquero Horsemanship. Truly the peak of horsemanship throughout the entire equine world. Western isn’t simple at all.

My wife does dressage as well as jumping. She uses close contact saddles. As she describes it. You don’t steer the horse. You communicate to the horse

I grew up riding English and only rode Western a few times but when I did, felt too loose in the saddle. Unless you are a rancher, English!
