Make sure you are grocery shopping in the morning. I have found the best deals on discounted meat, bread, and veggies in the morning, especially aldi.

Also, look into mutual aid/free pantries in your area. I’m in Portland and there’s a lot of churches etc that do free food boxes; pasta, canned goods
