if I'm not mistaken regs wouldn't allow that. customers can undo that with out any tools and plug appliance back .can someone correct me if I'm wrong.

not hard anyways to remove bayonet and fit blank that saves you about 60 seconds

2 it’s actually pushing the barrell in which is releasing the gas and only an o ring behind it rather then take the full fitting out and put a half in

the whole idea of the bayonet is that it is a self sealing connector ,it doesn't require capping or removing if not in use .
