Python est-il vraiment lent ? Pourquoi c'est l'un des meilleurs langages pour apprendre à coder. Python tout seul, oui, c'est lent : une boucle de 50 millions d'additions prend 2 secondes. Mais personne ne fait ça : en changeant une ligne pour passer par NumPy, ça prend un dixième de seconde. Vingt fois plus vite, même langage, même machine. Le secret : NumPy, ce n'est pas du Python, c'est du C. Python, c'est le volant. Le moteur tourne en C. Et c'est partout pareil : 1. pandas : du C en dessous 2. PyTorch, qui entraîne les IA : du C++ 3. Polars : du Rust 4. PySpark : la machine virtuelle de Java Le test de 7 lignes à lancer chez toi (pip install numpy) : import time, numpy as np N = 50_000_000 t = time.time(); total = 0 for i in range(N): total += i print(
