I think if you shave the pads of his paws he won’t slip as much. We use a trimmer on our pets bars and trim the hair off it’s fast and easy

I use Amazon covers too with a pad that I cut up into two or three pieces because Lucy only pees and poos on a small part of it. Saves $!
