《神龙壁》20 consecutive days , 98 hours. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Chinese youth were deeply influenced by Hong Kong gangster films, and many young people began imitating the characters in these movies by getting tattoos. The guest first saw my work through Chinese tattoo forum I managed during his teenage years. I told him he was still too young to get a tattoo, that he didn't yet have an independent aesthetic sense or personal understanding, and that if he still felt passionate about it later in life—when he had matured and developed his own thoughts—he could reconsider. Time passed quickly; twenty years later, he had grown from a young boy into a father of three. In 2022, he reached out to me to fulfill a dream from his youth, and this year we finally began the process. This is his first tattoo, centered around the large dragon head he loves, incorporating many elements symbolizing his life experiences over the past two decades and representing family.The surrounding phoenixes represent his wife, expressed in an abstract manner. The fonts within the pattern are the names of himself and his family members, with my logo （my Chinese surname）at the bottom. When discussing design, he spoke more about his personal life and inner emotions, as well as how tattoos have become a medium for emotional solace. It is precisely this inner self that gives our work true vitality—it's no longer just a pattern copied onto the body. #freehand #tattoo
