Supervise and teach them to use their words when they are frustrated. Give them the tool to communicate with each other without hitting.

When one hits the other only Acknowledge the one that got hit, it will make the other one realize your not acknowledging his behavior. It works for us

Try specific praise instead of general praise if you aren’t already.Try “good job being gentle when playing with brother” instead of just “good job”😊

From a teacher perspective I would try to put them in separate classes at the pre-k so they can gain some autonomy and also it will alleviate this (1)

Redirect. If u say they doing it or starting to, tell them no hitting etc and put them on a different activity.

I learned that "rough housing" is away that little boys show their love & friendship w/each other maybe set a certain time of day for that play cont.

Any time we would have one baby hit the other we would take the toy away for a period of time and put them in time out.

Time out! 1 minute for each year of age, so 2.5, I’d do 3 minutes. If they’re sitting nicely could let them up at 2.

what you're doing is awesome. make eye contact and tell them sternly hands are NOT for hurting. then give them alternative things to do with them

I work with 2 year olds and we have this problem, We make sure to cuddle the child who was hit and “ignore” the child who was hitting. This makes 1/2
