I think the biggest one people need to get over is best before fates, it's an out dated system for food that no longer applies with today's food

meat is the only thing I really religiously stick to. Milk and other dairy = smell. Fruit/veg = feel for over-squishy. Bread = look for mould. 🤷♂️

it’s a legal thing. it’s nearly impossible for your safety to be compromised before the date so that’s the date they chose, before there’s a CHANCE
