Why not just split the outlet so that the switch only works with the top outlet and plug the Xbox into the bottom.

the plug is a 1/2 hot so just plug the Xbox into the constant on the duplex so you still have a switched plug.

My preference is changing this to a standard light switch and using the plastic switch lock to prevent switch being turned off easier to revert back!

Usually those type of switches only works on one of the two sockets. Just plug the Xbox into the other one.
