I always let my passenger get on while its still on the kickstand. Then i get on and away we go.

The correct way is for the passenger to get on first, kickstand down, from the left side. Exact opposite when dismounting, rider first, then passenger

Everyone in the comments saying mount from the left side...that only applies if the bike is on the kickstand.

That’s how wife and I have been doing for 30 years except from left side and don’t see any real difference.

I typically have my wife get on, on the left side. I half the bike up, but have the kickstand down as a back up only.

I get on from opposite side, always ask if he’s ready first. I’ve never used the back of the bike for leverage. Personal preferences!

I have to put the stand down. I can’t keep the bike steady with her getting on n off. Depends on the weight of the passenger. Stand down no problem
