Those are finials on the hinge. The bottom finial is likely screwed in. Once you remove it, the pin is exposed so you can tap it up.

There is very likely a pin. It’s painted over. Had the same problem in my house. Run a knife around any recessed area.

I think there is still a pin but its been painted over so much it looks like one piece. I could be wrong though.

as someone who owns a house from 1890 in Maine, I know exactly what those hinges are and there is no pin that you can remove

The pointed ends are the pin. Cut the paint between pinhead and hinge, then one end will unscrew, allowing the pin to be removed. Beautiful home!

the finials on the hinges unscrew so they can come out. put some paint stripper on the hinges so you can access the finials to unscrew them.

LOL Ones the pin and ones a cap on the hinge. you'll have to turn them to see which is the cap, remove it, then punch the pin out through

Use a heat gun tonearm the paint on the hinge , there is a pin in there .

I had those hinges. I think they are painted over and they unscrew on each end. I could totally be wrong though

I have door hinges like that the pin come out the tip, the bottom bit is just decoration. I have to use a crowbar to remove the pins

That style hing has a screw on head on one end. That the head off, pull the pin and it will come apart. Probably brass, so be careful if you want them

As far as the door hinge on the front door. Use some paint stripper around the top and bottom “the pointy part” I grew up in a Victorian built in 1902
