You know the new pigtail and burned pin are indicators of high current draw from the blower motor. Prob better pop one of those in too.

resistor melts because the blower motor is drawing to much current....replace both at the same time

that's a 1st generation Durango,resistor is easy to get to.Quite often it's behind the glovebox or top of the firewall, under the hood.

Also pull the fan motor out and clean the leaves and pinestraw out of the cage ,loads up the motor on low speed. your welcome.......

All geen wires means original plug git cooked they say you should replace all 3 at once just like my dakota i used an oem resistor from rockauto

what's going on when ac is cooling and then just stops cooling and 5 minutes starts cooling agin blows fine

First thing first... always check blower motor current draw... That's usually why they burn connector terminals...👍

Mine the air comes out only through the defrost vents and it doesnt work on high either 🤷🏻♂️99 mustang gt 😅

it could be your switch was twisted too hard and cracked so check your switch first before you buy a new resistor
