✨Bucket-List Guide to Death Valley National Park’s incredible hidden gems ⤵️ 📌 𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 + 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘭𝘴! ________ ‼️Death Valley is currently closed to visitors - including all roads and entrances - due to damage caused by remnants of Hurricane Hilary! Save this guide for future travels when the park is ready to re-welcome guests! ⛔️ It’s extremely important to know and practice all the Leave No Trace principles to help protect and preserve these beautiful places in nature and to minimize our impact the best we can! ________ I’m obsessed with this national park and after visiting it 5x, I have to say: there are SO many hidden gems that are often missed by visitors! Try to make time to see: 1️⃣ Aguereberry Point - this insanely scenic overlook is my favorite view for sunrise / sunset! (Better than the popular Dante’s View, IMO)! 2️⃣ Darwin Falls - a dope waterfall hike back a gorgeous canyon trail! (2 miles; rated easy) 3️⃣ Saratoga Springs - never thought I’d see a lake-like body of water in Death Valley! Mind blown!! 4️⃣ Grotto Canyon - a super fun (but difficult) slot canyon hike! After the first climb, it progressively gets tougher to scramble up but it’s SO dang awesome! (~2.5 miles; rated hard) 5️⃣ Ibex Dunes - Unlike Mesquite Flat sand dunes, you’ll have them all to yourself AND they’re quite taller! Such an insanely peaceful and majestic place! ⭐️ Bonus hidden gems = •Wildrose Charcoal Kilns •Skidoo Mill •ghost towns like Ballarat and Rhyolite + so much more! 👉🏻 I also have a travel guide reel to DV’s popular, must-see spots (see my guide’s tab). 🏠 ⛺️ Where to stay? Stovepipe Wells! There’s a motel, campground and RV hookup sites. Right beside Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes and has its own restaurant, tavern, general store, pool + more! 🗓 Best time to go? Winter - early spring (or late fall). The summer months are extremely hot and brutal! ❓Which Death Valley hidden gem are you most keen to explore? • • #deathvalleynationalpark #travelguide #hikingadventures #bucketlisttravel #nationalparksusa #nationalparkgeek
