Wolf lake is the same. If you go when the lake is down. You can see a church steeple out of the water. Fontana you can see cars and everything

My grandmother's family was displaced from Judson for the lake/dam to be built when she was a child. We have a cool picture of she and 4 of her siblings on their porch the day they left.

Fun fact: the dam was built to be a powerhouse of electricity to create atomic bombs at Oak Ridge. Playing a major role in ending WW2.

The lake isn’t haunted… we have a lake house on Fontana but the story is when they flooded it caskets that weren’t dug up floated up 😳

Except they would have moved the bodies in the cemetery to hallowed ground before they submerged the town. EVERY submerged town would be the same.

I from WV in 2012 I went backpacking there and after 5 days of not seeing anyone they were shooting an Alien movie in the tunnel at the rd to nowhere. Scared me badly to see so many cars in the tunnel

A lot of my family is buried there. We have to take a ferry across the lake once a year to visit.
