@kimmystyled: Been talking about this with @Rising Sunflower Abby and it’s so telling that so called mid size folks refuse to shop at places with actual plus sizes #plussizefashion #plussizetiktok #MadewithKAContest #midsizequeens

R ♡ :
tbh i think the term midsize just came about because folks wanted to identify as being smaller than plus size in another "smaller is better" thing

I don’t refer to myself as midsize, but torrid and LB are just expensive and not cute. Which is a big issue for plus size people including myself (1)

i don’t understand this at all 😭 i don’t like those clothes so i don’t like them…? it’s very unfortunate that there aren’t more plus size clothing-

Torrid is HELLA expensive though, I wouldn't shop there if I didn't have to 😂

as a fellow fat person this is a weird take, asking ‘midsized’ people to shop at plus sized stores regardless of whether they like the clothes?

I'm plus size and I don't shop at lane Bryant and torrid bc im not a fan of their styles. I've been shopping on Amazon lately

Torrid and Lane Bryant have the fugliest clothes ever. I am plus sized and I refuse to shop there on the basis its straight up ugly.

I'm in Australia so things might be different here but there are several brands with straight sizes going up to an Aus 12, then plus size starts Aus18

I'm bigger than midsize, and I don't really blame them if they don't want to shop at torrid. torrid blows.

I’m a 18-22 and I don’t shop at Torrid or Lane Bryant because their clothes are awful

I’d like to see all women (thin too) refuse to shop anywhere that doesn’t have inclusive sizing. It’s the right thing to do.

I think this message is more directed at creators who earn a following and clout from being bigger/curvy/whatever but only shop brands that stock up

I’m a size 24 and this is so weird to me. Why gatekeep where anyone shops? If I could shop at AE, I would. Should I not?

1/2 Thank you for pointing this out to this midsized girl. I hadnt thought of it before and realise I am just supporting high fashion's

Stephanie :
It does bug me when midsize creators only review brands I can’t fit into. It’s not very “body positive” to choose non-inclusive brands 😬

I'm "midsized" fat & short. I have a hard time shopping at Torrid & LB because their styles are too tall/long on me 😔 I make my own clothes! 🧡

i don’t often shop in plus size places because the price. often a store that stops at XL the shirt is cheaper than buying to 0 or 1 at torrid

I’m not necessarily midsize, more so plus size. But I shop aerie and H&M bc they’re cheaper and cuter than torrid. Money is a big factor.

I use midsize but nah you're right to call into question why folks don't shop there.
