Depending on how you want to use them, you can remove the inner plastic coating with a solvent like acetone to expose the metal if you want shine.

you can get metal shears at any hard ware store so you don't have to ruin your scissors

I think I have heard if you cut aluminum foil it will sharped scissors. not for sure on the details but something you might check out
