You can mulch with straw, dry grass clippings, compost, or finely chopped wood chips. 🥔Make sure to cover the developing tubers to prevent them from turning green making them inedible due to solanine content. Solanine is a phytochemical (glycoalkaloids) which is toxic in high amounts. 🥔Planting potatoes in full ☀️ will increase yields as sugar is produced via photosynthesis in the leaves.
