Glazed Donuts – baked, not fried and no yeast required. These donuts are ultra soft, and take only 15 minutes to bake. Top them with a buttery, vanilla glaze and you’ve got yourself a better than the bakery glazed donut. Glazed Donuts ½ cup granulated sugar ¼ cup vegetable oil 1 large egg ½ cup Lifeway Kefir Whole Milk (or buttermilk) 1 cup all purpose flour ¾ teaspoon baking powder ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon salt Glaze 2 tablespoons butter, melted ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup powdered sugar Enough milk to thin (roughly 2-3 tablespoons) 1. Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly spray a donut pan with nonstick spray. 2. In a large bowl, add all ingredients for the donuts, then mix until combined. Spoon the donut batter into the pan, filling each donut well ¾ full. 3. Bake in oven for 12-15 minutes. 4. Meanwhile, make glaze. Mix melted butter, vanilla and powdered sugar (mixture will be thick). Add enough milk to thin glaze. 5. Dip warm donuts in the glaze, turning over to coat both sides.
