@brittneynolte: Reply to @ashleytorres003 i am also fully aware that many people are happy with that decision their parents made! Thats okay too! Everyone is different. This is just my opinion on Oralism and it is a HUGE problem in the Deaf community. #parenting #signlanguage #deaf #hearing #deafcommunity #pse #asl #oralism

I come from an entirely deaf family and I love how educated you are when it comes to early access for your son. You’re doing an incredible job.

My parents did the exact thing you are doing with your son with me when I was born in 90s. I’m thankful now that I have access to both worlds. ❤️

Uhhhhhh. I disagree with that person’s comment (not you). If you do love your child, you will make time to find resources.

I want to better understand. What do you mean by « spoken language »? I know the words but I don’t think I have the true meaning in this context

Your state generally has resources for parents with deaf children. We’ve used Texas Hands & Voices since finding out our daughter was deaf.

It's a choice. My son was deaf till almost 4 years old. I put in the work to learn on my own. Pick up a book and learn basic signs to communicate!🥰
