We have had a similar situation, it’s was an accident and we watched the dog after that around food, if it happens again I’d be more concerned.

Accidents happen. If he wasn’t showing aggression it was likely an accident. Don’t leave them together with food

Same thing happened with my sister !! She grabbed a piece of her food and the dog accident my bit her hand trying to get it. Our dog is still here!

Cage your dog anytime your kids are eating! Or gate the kitchen completely off so the dog can’t be in it at all, & kids only eat in kitchen! 🥺❤️

Omg no, don’t rehome him if he’s never shown any sign of aggression. Accidents happen. I would just crate the dog when you guys are eating for now on.
