6 months of production squeezed into 2 minutes of video. This installation on the Place Royale in Nantes (FR) is part of the summer exhibition ‘Le Voyage á Nantes’ and will remain on view for a few extra months. I’m trying to actively question the role of art as heritage in our societies. This production is a new step in a line of work reflecting on local history by directly adding to it (continuing to build and adapt) from a contemporary perspective. About 50 people have been involved in this production, ranging from the new fountain models, to wig makers, tailors, resin factory staff, a 3D-scanning crew, city archeologists, crane operators and of course the Le Voyage á Nantes production team.
