Don't use oils like coconut, olive, etc... it will go rancid and end up ruining wood. Better to use mineral oil or beeswax.

I recommend mineral oil instead of coconut oil. Mineral oil is liquid at room temperature, so it's able to soak deeper into the wood.

Nice but I bet coconut oil will dry fairly fast. Renaissance wax polish is a premium wax that will protect it and last long.
