Ummm… swallowing tongues is not a myth. My mum has epilepsy and almost died after swallowing her tongue a few years ago.

Protect the head, loosen shirt collars etc if possible, call ambulance if no ID/knowledge of persons conditions, time it, get them on their side asap

So the tongue can obscure the airway making it hard to breathe, this is why rolling them on their side is the best thing you can do when it is safe
