I used my carpet shampooer when then happened to me….use just water to get as much out as possible at first. Then use the soap solution, on the final.

Saturate with water, like a lot -dump it on, then blot blot blot blot blot with a rag works well.

Scrubbing works but use a shop vac at the same time to make sure all dirt/paint is removed out of the carpet versus shoved down deeper.

We had to turn into insurance company. They replaced mine….sadly it was a whole gallon! Lesson learned..the hard way.

The Little green machine would work perfectly for the remaining stain. It’s like magic. Pricey but definitely worth it.

If it's latex you only need cold water. scrub, rinse, scrub rinse, repeat.
