I've never used the handbrake in 30 years.. never had a problem on any of my 756 cars

This only helps if your car was made in the 1900s most modern cars you don’t need to do that

this will not hurt the transmission, I rebuild transmissions all the time and I have never saw any damage to the park pawl from doing this.

That’s not true, if you directly shift it into p and pull the handbrake without releasing the brake, the stress will still be on the handbrake

I normally jump out and use a brick behind the wheel, that way my handbrake and gearbox will last forever 😂😂😂

you can't shift from R to P or oposite by realising the footbreak, it will be like you change the gears without pressing clutch on manual transmision

I got a standard in my truck and no handbrake, if you don't want it to roll into a poor unsuspecting family you put it in a gear.
