If you can, get a court date and bring both the tickets stub and the parking fine and see if you could get a reduced fine or no fine at all

Also its that expensive because its not a government lot its a private lot so they charge more than a municipal lot

maybe just put it so they can see it. tickets are how the lot/city makes money they are counting on lazy people to do it wrong.
