The overhang in the back is longer than the front overhang. So, if I back in, I can hang over the back of the lot, vs sticking out in the lane

Visibility when pulling out/in, takes up less space in the drive lane, better approach angle on the parking spot/easier to make quick adjustments.

You can make a sharper angle on the back in turn than a front turn. Trucks are longer than cars so its a bigger deal in trucks.
