The dog I adopted from a shelter had giardia when I took her home and we didn’t give her frequent baths and she was negative after her initial meds

I work in the vet field, with giardia keep the house clean first day and clean again last day of meds. And make sure she doesn’t eat her stools.

When I adopted my dog she also had giardia, and the vet had us wash everything that first day of meds, and then a big wash after.

if you bath her every day just rub coconut oil that you use for people into her coat it will put moisture into the skin a a nice shine to her coat

I am a vet tech, you do not have to clean your house daily. Just practice good hygiene. If you already started the dewormer she is fine

My boy has giardia and we just did the initial cleaning of his things and him. He was on meds for the two weeks then he was perfectly fine.

Shower her when the medication is almost done because all of the giardia should be dead and keep her clean from poop

When you wash, do it with whatever you typically wash with and a tablespoon of vinegar! It helps with safe sanitization :)

My pup had giardia when we brought him home. We had to wash all his bedding, toys and him DAILY. It was exhausting but helped get through it quick! 😅

The lauric acid in coconut oil helps fight giardia as well- with my pup we did baths every few days, and a whole body rubdown with coconut oil :)
