Put drywall tape on the panels!!! It makes it easier to fill and less cracking in the future. And sand real well or else you’ll see the paste

I did this with spackle to a room in our house! Two coats and then sanded. Painted. Looks just like sheet rock. Doing it to my whole house 😁

It’s a good temporary fix! After a bit it will start to crack, paneling is very flexible.

NO! We bought a house where they had done this and it started cracking and looked terrible. Had to drywall over it and just wish they had used paint

make sure you seal it first otherwise the paneling will start to ripple and peel off the walls in layers

yep, except we tried drywall tape at the seams and it bubbled. Worked on the regular lines tho. painted it in other rooms, many coats, beachy look
