Combined with the fact that you also have to pay through the nose to actually birth the child, I’m not sure how anyone in the US does it!

thats insane. in NZ we get 6-7 months. i was lucky enough to take 9 months before going back to work. i feel for you in the US

You must be joking! You get 9 months (reduced) pay in the Uk but then you can take up to a year off with the 3 extra months unpaid
