creamy cajun shrimp and sausage 🍤✨ clearing out my drafts, this is one of my favorite easy meals to make! it’s always a 10/10. Ingredients  - 1.5lb shrimp, deveined and shelled - 1 tsp Cajun seasoning  - 1 tsp creole seasoning  - 1 tsp garlic powder  - 1 tsp onion powder - 1 tsp smoked paprika  - Salt to taste  Sauce  - 13oz andouille smoked sausage, diced  - 1 1/2 cup heavy cream - 1/2 cup chicken broth - 3 tbsp unsalted butter - 1/2 yellow onion, diced - 1/2 bell pepper, diced - 6 garlic cloves, minced  - 2 tbsp tomato paste  - Juice of 1/2 lemon - 1 tbsp parsley  - 1 tsp red pepper flakes  - 1 tsp cajun seasoning  - 1 tsp garlic powder  - 1 tsp oregano  - 1 tsp cayenne powder  - Salt and pepper to taste  For serving  - Cooked white rice  - Parsley  Instructions - In a medium bowl, drizzle the shrimp with oil. Add the Cajun seasoning, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Toss until evenly coated. - Heat a large skillet over  medium-high heat. Add oil, the diced andouille and cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned around the edges. Remove from the skillet and set aside. - In the same skillet, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until lightly browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside. - Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the diced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 4–5 minutes, until softened. - Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly darkened and fragrant. - Add the red pepper flakes, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, oregano, and cayenne. Season with salt and black pepper, then stir until well combined and fragrant. - Pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine. Add the heavy cream and mix until smooth. Stir in the lemon juice. - Return the browned andouille to the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly. - Add the shrimp back to the sauce and cook for 2–3 minutes, just until heated through and fully cooked.
