First of all, the Pentagon has launched an initiative called FORTRESS America. The purpose is to prepare our military installations to operate independently if the electrical grid, water systems, communications, fuel supplies, or other critical infrastructure are disrupted. According to reporting on the program, the goal is for major military installations to be able to operate for at least 90 days without outside support. Nowhere in that announcement did the Pentagon tell American households that we're about to lose electricity for three months. That's where these posts are getting things twisted. But here's where my research took me, and I think this is something EVERY American needs to be paying attention to. On October 22, MeidasTouch and VALOR Media published an investigation into what our American troops have been experiencing at military installations throughout the Middle East. And guys, some of these reports are absolutely heartbreaking. The investigation includes photographs, videos, and accounts from service members, contractors, and military families connected to installations in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. At Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, service members described months of incoming missile and drone attacks beginning in March. We're talking about repeated attacks, damaged aircraft, destroyed equipment, and military personnel living under conditions most Americans probably have no idea about. The photographs show the destruction left behind, including a massive missile impact crater near military bunkers. The investigation also describes damage involving fighter jets, drones, helicopters, and military facilities. But one of the accounts that really got to me was what reportedly happened on July 17 and 18. Sources described an attack on American military barracks that they said killed three service members and resulted in four others being evacuated. They described people trapped inside burning buildings, calling for help while others desperately tried to reach them. The Pentagon is preparing military installations to withstand prolonged disruptions to electricity, water, communications, transportation, and supply chains. And there's a reason they're taking infrastructure threats seriously. Federal cybersecurity agencies have already documented Chinese state-sponsored hackers gaining access to critical American infrastructure networks, including systems connected to energy, water, transportation, and communications. So yes, the threats they're preparing for are legitimate concerns. But preparing for a potential infrastructure failure is not the same thing as announcing that one is about to happen. And I think that's a pretty important distinction. What concerns me just as much is what we've already seen happening to our troops overseas. Why were they reportedly dealing with shortages of basic supplies? Were they adequately protected? What has our military learned from these attacks? And what exactly is being done differently now? Those are the questions I think we should be asking. I don't want people living in fear because somebody shared a scary headline on Facebook. I want people INFORMED. And I want our service members protected. Because supporting our troops isn't just something we say. It means caring about what happens to them after they're deployed, what conditions they're living in, and whether the people making decisions are doing everything possible to keep them safe. I'm including some of the photographs from the investigation because I think people need to SEE what has been reported. I'll also link the original investigation on Substack and the reporting about FORTRESS America in the comments so you can dig into it yourselves. There's a whole lot more to this story than a headline about losing electricity for 90 days. #militarytiktok #ww3 #powergrid #doomsday #survivaltips
