This is most important when planting both a sweet corn and a dent or flint corn! Two sweet corn varieties won't be that weird!

no it produces the same seed. the only difference is the genetic makeup of the embryo. the corn seed is still made how the mother plants genes tell it

you could cover the silks and hand pollinate, like you'd do with any other crop growing you want to save the seed

I have heard that corn can be pollinated from up to 500 yards though I'm not sure how true that is

Ex. Corn 1 - 77 days & Corn 2 - 72 days plant corn 2 9 days before and they will be spaced 14 days apart!
