I played here as a 16yr old in 1986 with my now sadly departed father. I was playing off 11 and had a par 4 at the 17th. I miss my dad so much

I walked the course two weeks before The Open. Shaping of the surrounds at the 17th green are subtle and vicious at the same time. Fantastic hole.
