I tend to use the term Mixed or multiracial because I’m more than just two ethnicities/races. It kind of depends on if I’m also talking to POC or ✋🏻

I prefer mixed for myself bc to me it sounds like combining into something that is more than the sum of its parts. Biracial sounds stark/divided.

I say mixed but I guess I’m bi-racial…then there’s my kids whose dad is Portuguese so what should they say? Mixed? Multi-racial?

I’m biracial (Filipino/yt), went to a predominantly black hs from 04-08 & from hearing kids talk, I thought “mixed” was only yt/black biracial 🤔

I usually say I’m a mixed black woman.. that’s just what I identify as.. I usually get called mixed but recently got called a half breed by someone 😳

Yes exactIy! 👏🏽 I still say Mixed cause I’m Dominican, my genetic breakdown (ancestry dna) is a mix of Black, Taino (Caribbean native) & European 🤍
