I do this but my gums have always been a darker brown/purple. Is that just a genetic thing that darker skin people have to deal with?

my gums are slightly darker than the patients gums in the top and bottom like not text to the teeth,next to the teeth they are pink but going up they are darker, is that normal?

Had gum disease use bonjela off and on and washed my mouth out with table salt one tea spoon of table salt and vinger my gums had receded gums are now there pink and not red gums
