There are about 2 to 3 of those track mobiles in my area due to all of the industrial near me I’m right near a big chemical plant that never uses them

yes that was the way they loaded and moved road trailers on to rail and set up with connecting them together

That’s an original Shuttlewagon built by then Central Manufacturing. They went on to change to the side cab design like the first one, now have the Commander and Navigator series.
