![In Episode 8, D&M visited Chungcheongbuk-do for their eighth journey. Deoksan Brewery, Jincheon Established in 1930, this one-story wooden brewery was built by carpenter Seong Jo-un. It features a gable galvanized roof, wooden exterior, and high windows for ventilation. The walls and ceiling are filled with rice husks for insulation, a unique design for a wooden structure. The brewery is still in use today, producing traditional liquor with methods passed down through three generations. Makgeolli, a milky rice wine, has long been essential in ceremonies, both joyous and somber. It continues to be used as an offering in modern rituals, such as building completions or shop openings. Eight Scenic Spots of Danyang-gun 1. Oksunbong Peaks, Jecheon – Named for resembling bamboo shoots, these jade-like white rocks rise from Namhangang River. 2. Seongmun Natural Arch, Danyang – A karstic limestone arch formed from a collapsed cave. It frames a landscape of farmhouses by the Namhangang River. 3. Seonamgyegok Valley – A 10-kilometer valley known for its dense forests, rock formations, and clear streams.
