A piece of cardboard is probably as effective. But in that case why not use a piece of paper. Or even better, paper that sticks to the wall… Oh wait

No tape no guard, paint the trip let the paint lap onto the wall when you paint the wall brush cut tight to the trim. Clean straight lines

This doesn’t work as well as tape because you can’t get the same closeness to the wall. I’m glad it worked for her though!
