We couldn’t even get to training without medication - it helped us SO much! both me and the dog are medicated for good reason haha

I appreciate this conversation. Human with panic attacks + adhd. Without meds I literally wasn’t functional enough to try anything else first.

I think when a dog has a behavioral issue, medication should not be recommended as like a first option, but also not as the absolute last.

This is confirmation bias. If you’d put your dog on antibiotics, pain meds, insulin, any med for their health, it should b the same for behavior med⚙️

I don't agree with the human aspect tho I think it's bc you just might not know. Which is OK! But sometimes you can't overcome w/out some help first.

yea,I felt the same way & tried everything. Ollie is well-trained but has a hair trigger for random people. that's why he's on meds. we still train

1-That’s where I’m @. Multiple sessions w/trainer &slow pgress. So bked behaviouralist 2c if we need meds. Shes overexcited 2much she don’t hear me
