Yall don't replace the filter? we always replace the filter, this is the first pace I've seen not replace the filter.

You needed to remove the dipstick first before loosening the drain plug, should’ve replaced the copper or bronze o ring on the drain plug

Put oil in the filter before you replace it and a dab of oil on the o ring to helps get it off easier next time
