I would leave a light and the tv on something that won’t bother y’all at night. Some dogs do well at night because they can’t see and not hear the tv

have you tried allowing him to sleep on you bedroom floor in a bed? I have had dogs who were just to anxious to sleep by themselves.

Crate/kennel training is highly beneficial even if it’s not used regularly. Groomers, emergency vet visits, kenneling at a dog sitter….
