I grew up with cloth filters made from old t shirts. But they were only rinsed before the next brew and a new one made when it could stand on its own

I'm interested in the next weeks brews my logic says I could find oil trapped in fibers which could result in rancid flavors, but maybe I'm wrong.

I switched to cloth filters last year to reduce our waste and I don't think I'll ever go back! I find having two to rotate between helps

I’ve been using a cone cloth filter under a reusable cone metal filter. Works great and cleaning is easier.
