THE CHILD YOU TRAINED TODAY IS THE ADULT YOU WILL MEET TOMORROW The first video I showed you was Davido and his daughter. You could see that the little girl wanted to do a particular dance step, but look at the way her father cautioned her. The second video was a mother permitting the very thing the first video cautioned against. This is why I keep reminding many of you about the things I say concerning celebrities. Some of these celebrities are intentional about how they raise their children. They caution them, train them and protect them to the point where you hardly see their children everywhere on social media. Yet many of you consume their music, lifestyles and content and then intentionally expose your own children to things that may negatively influence them. You call it trend, civilization or entertainment, but at what point do we begin to ask ourselves what we are actually planting in the hearts of our children? Honestly, some of the things we see today are beginning to make me question the parenting pattern of this generation. As a parent, whatever you repeatedly expose your child to is a seed you are planting in that child. One day, that seed will grow and produce a harvest. My prayer is that when that seed grows into a tree, you will be able to look at it with joy and say that you planted well. The Bible teaches us to train up our children in the way they should go. As parents, we cannot afford to leave the training of our children to social media, celebrities or the culture of this generation. Train them. Correct them. Guard what they watch. Guard what they listen to. Most importantly, raise them in the ways of the Lord. Because the child you are raising today is the adult you will meet tomorrow.
