@degreefree: Replying to @joeypiet yes, 100%. If people went later when they were financially ready and more sure of what they wanted a degree in, the outcomes would be much better. But not as profitable for the colleges. It's much harder to change your path once you're on it. A gap year after HS might make sense, but after 7 going back to school won't be easy.
