Don’t remove oil pan completely just enough to access the oil pick up bolt. An undo the power steering line an move it to the side.

LS7 lifters, non dod buckets, we use the lingenfelter dod plug kit, you have to have a rivet gun though. Other than that, pull rad/condenser,

why do you need to pull oil pan? timing cover has 2 bolts coming through pan, pretty straight forward job

I would say easiest way is do a tune to turn off the DOD but the best way is probably changing lifters and cam shaft then do a tune to turn off the DO

take them apart top to bottom and reassemble bottom to top, pull radiator and condenser to pull the cam out, motor stays in if replacing can

most people I've seen just pull intake and put the 4.8 valley cover in. it blocks off the dod ports for the lifter system.

If you’re installing a new cam, and don’t want to pull the engine, remove radiator and condenser together. You’ll get the clearance to pull the cam.

Also block the oil pressure relief valve in oil pan off and I would also block the holes under the valley plate

Drop the bolts to the diff and take out the pass shock bolt so the shock drops down. Lift motor to pull pan.

No need to drop oil pan you can reach the pickup bolt just with the timing cover off, upgrade to headers if he hasn’t already cause

Don’t pull oil pan. Pin chain tensioner. Pull cam gear replace cam re install. Don’t pull pan or oil pump saves hours. Pre oil lifters.
