Investigators once theorized Lindsay Clancy may have been coached by a doctor to say she was hearing voices after the deaths of her three children, according to testimony Wednesday in her murder trial. Massachusetts State Police Sgt. Dan Lawlor testified that investigators discussed the possibility after learning a doctor had entered Clancy’s hospital room and allowed her to call her husband, Patrick, using the doctor’s personal phone. During that call, Clancy reportedly told Patrick she had heard a male voice telling her she had to kill the children so she could kill herself. However, Lawlor acknowledged investigators had no evidence establishing that the doctor actually coached Clancy to say that.
