Optimal position for birth 🤰We want to encourage baby into an optimal position down the birth canal for a smoother labor. A baby’s position is based on the space available to them so we can focus on releasing tension in the uterosacral and round ligaments during pregnancy to help create more space! Your uterus has several ligaments that attach to it and tension in these ligaments can twist or pull the uterus, decreasing space in the uterus for your baby to get head down. It’s common for your baby to be head up before 30 weeks however you might want to get intentional about techniques to flip your baby if they still head up around 30+ weeks. Ways we can help flip a breech: ✨Release the bottom uterosacral ligaments with forward leaning inversions. You can do this multiple times throughout the day for around 2-3 deep breaths to encourage a head-down position. Make sure your hips are stacked above your shoulders. Having a partner to support you is recommended because it does require some strength. ✨Releasing the round ligament with hip flexor release stretches. ✨Seek help from a webster certified chiropractor, this technique is a specific chiropractic adjustment designed to optimize pelvic alignment. If your baby is already head down, inversions will not flip them head up, it’s simply creating more space in the bottom of the pelvis for them to get into the most ideal position for birth. \ Join my App’s 7-Day FREE Trial 📲 If you’re looking for more guidance on your labor prep and workouts, you can follow my Pregnancy Fitness Program available on the Momday App. - #36weekspregnant #37weekspregnant #healthypregnancy #38weekspregnant #39weekspregnant #pregnancyfitness #prenatalfitness #pregnancyworkout #pregnantbelly
