I once grabbed the wrong can when cleaning the oem magnetic ender bed. it didn't hold up well to acetone

kapton tape is the way to go. if you apply it well it can even be used for multiple prints

When it comes to glass beds you can use the other side it works both ways with precautions

This was the treated layer of the glass bed peeling off the glass. I had no issues with it for rigorous printing during the first 5 months lol

It will work the same ish. That costing is mostly texture. I flip mine over for smooth bottom

I flipped that bed upside down and used glue and it worked like a charm
