My favorite tip for beginners was to hit your drive and then place the ball 50-100 years from the green and to add to that when you’re ready.

Also if you’re playing with better players, if you hit a bad shot you can always drop your ball up by theirs to keep the pace up!

My family plays gimmy puts. If your ball is within a putters length from the hole, it's a gimmy and you count it. (can I actually sink all those?No)
